This mare produces the most size of any mare here at the ranch, with classic Morgan type. Jack Warner could open barbed wire gates from her sire Cody’s back and carry baby calves on him. Bred by Orin Black in Iowa, he was a little more than 25% Bird S. Sentney and the rest big military government and some Lippitt blood; gentle, but could show you something about driving a cow. Cody’s 15.2 size is showing up in the Codana offspring. Codana’s dam Dandalena carried the blood of Yakima Hawk, the biggest of the Top Flight get from Bird (he went to a Morab breeding program). Her foals are very gentle and extremely smart. NFS

25% Cedarcrest Dynamic with his long croup and gait. Proper and compact, she was a riding horse here at the ranch before serving as a broodmare. This mare is a credit to her sire and dam with her go getter cow sense and endurance, as all the Justina offspring are. Her dam was proper and classic with substance and a great attitude. Her granddam always put the Cedarcrest Dynamic rear end on her offspring to such an extent that we would say, “That one’s Justina’s—you can tell by the rear end.” One of her half sibs by Adiel’s Stetson is standing at stud in Wisconsin. Her dam also has a half brother by Rimlo Black Talent at stud in Indiana. Her dam’s three full brothers have served as beloved cow horses here at the ranch, displaying amazing speed and exceptional cow sense, all with the unmistakable rear ends! She has beautiful, precise movement with a big ground eating trot. She produces beautiful offspring with true Morgan type. NFS

This mare’s floating hocks make her so fancy with the flashy markings. Her granddam Dandelena’s son Danza was a reining horse at WAR and was so missed after he was sold. She has size and athleticism. This mare exhibits a more refined build that accentuates her elegance, which her offspring similarly display.

A nice mare from a never to be repeated breeding. This mare carries some good old working western blood that has proved itself over and over on the ranch. Western Mansfield gave a dependable typiness to his progeny. Bird S. Sentney- heavy in Le Bird’s blood- was the mother of especially beloved dispositions. And the Flyhawk is always appreciated. Wide face, large eyes, very nice neck set, round croup in the WAR Bulrush Type.

Has Yakima Hawk, Cedarcrest Dynamic and the only cross to the Beamington bred Golddust who passed on quiet disposition. She’s very pretty and serves as a saddle horse at the ranch. She has plenty of free forward movement and really gets excited about chasing cows. She has the Black Talent sliding stop and she virtually explodes after a calf that turns back at the gate. She knows when to work and she knows when to be gentle. This mare started giving riding lessons at seven! A favorite of many children who ride here. Home trained. NFS

A great cow horse in a beautiful package! This mare knows her job and keeps cattle moving with a bump or nip or timely laying back of ears when working cattle. That has actually become her side job as she has been working under the direction of Melissa Warner Wright and they are doing well in both Classical and Western Dressage! She is showing great potential and always earns the judge's compliments on conformation. They had a successful Morgan Grand National show in 2022- the first for a participant from our family! Great fun watching Melissa and her advancing through the levels!
